Export and import, local and in transit

Every shipment moves under one of four regimes. Tell us which one is yours and the quote comes back with the right customs paperwork already priced in.

Trade Regimes

Four regimes, one point of contact

Beira is the natural gateway for Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and southern DRC. What separates your shipments is not only the transport mode — it is the customs regime the cargo moves under. We handle all four.

Regime 01

Local Export

Goods of Mozambican origin cleared for export and shipped from Beira.

We handle the export declaration, inspection where it applies and the booking with the line or airline. Cargo is collected at your premises, consolidated if needed and delivered to the terminal with documents already filed — your container never waits on paperwork.

  • Customs export declaration
  • Certificates of origin and phytosanitary papers
  • Ocean or air booking
  • Collection, consolidation and terminal delivery

Regime 02

Transit Export

Cargo originating in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi or the DRC exported through the Port of Beira.

The goods enter Mozambique under transit, cross the corridor sealed and are exported at Beira without entering the domestic market. We coordinate border clearance, the transit guarantee and the terminal handover, so the corridor does not stall at Machipanda or Zobue.

  • Customs transit regime (T1)
  • Guarantee and cargo sealing
  • Machipanda, Zobue or Cassacatiza crossings
  • Direct delivery to the export terminal

Regime 03

Local Import

Cargo arriving at the Port of Beira and cleared for consumption in Mozambique.

From vessel arrival to delivery at your door: import declaration filed, duties and VAT settled, inspection where required and final transport arranged. We track the file at customs and warn you before the cargo rolls into paid storage.

  • Customs import declaration
  • Duties, VAT and fees settled
  • Pre-shipment inspection and surveys
  • Domestic delivery out of Beira

Regime 04

Transit Import

Cargo discharged in Beira with a final destination in the landlocked neighbours.

The shipment lands at the Port of Beira and moves under transit to the border without paying duty in Mozambique. We arrange the guarantee, the sealing and the documentary escort along the corridor, and hand the cargo to your agent in the destination country with the file closed.

  • Transit regime opened in Beira
  • Customs guarantee and sealing
  • Beira Corridor to Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and the DRC
  • Transit discharged at the border
